Hello again,
Are comics reliable in grammar? I am asking this because a teacher once told me that other texts rather than study books are most of the time too informal or even not well-written :-)

For me, it's interesting and more understandable to read magazines.There are articles that explain the thesis statement in a few words.
I heard that Marvel Comics are nice. However I still haven't read them....what Marvel comic do you recommend?

Sometimes reading could be boring but the majority of people don't know that it's too important because when you do it you learn more words and you increase your knowledge.

I think that books are more interesting than comics because comics are just for fun, but when you read books you lear new things and improve your vocabulary.

but!!!! for me it does not true, iam the kind of person who do not like to read well no so often
but!!! i konow that it is a way to increase our knowledge and a good way to learm more vocabulary to comunicate each others well thatis what think i am tryng to read more.

Clearly the Internet has a lot of interesting information, there are so many websites in English, which help us to learn more about this language, and this page is an example about it. I'm glad that We can find not only good information if not also good advices!

in my point of view it is more touching and comprehensible to read magazines because you can learn otherwise by means of drawings and paragraphs that facilitate the understanding but that also it has their disadvantage that most of these they are informal but that we should be able to differentiate the correct and incorrect and I am sure it helped us in our knowledge.

Well, your right read is good in order to improve our culture but unfortunetly not many people like to practice it beacuse of a lot of excuses like the time, or maybe money. In my case I love to read specially magazines(obviusly because is more practice and aldo is entertaining than read heavy books). I admit that I have never listened about marvel comics but I am going to read it! Thanks for the recomendations!

I assert that that Peruvians don’t have reading habits, but why people in other countries read a lot (one or two books per month), I have the answer for that question, we don’t read because we think that reading is boring or is only for nerds, but we don’t realize that reading is important, no only for our career, but also for our life. If we had interest for the reading, maybe we would leave the underdevelopment. Now we have to wonder our self if we want to change our lives and be better of the one than we are already. (I hope that my grammar is correct)

I think nowadays peruvian people don´t read for them is boring specially read newspapers,magazines, because many people prefers read novels or gossip.Reading is important you can self-selected books daily or twice for a week in your free time , I think that young people need to read more because they can discuss and explain their ideas with adults about different topics ..On the other hand you can improve your vocabulary and learn more about general knowledge.

Hi miss,well many teenagers think that to read a book is boring , they prefer to read a magazine about comics or famous people .But if you read novel's books you can improve your konwledge, to know more about others words.
For example ; I like to read any book , but in the first time I couldn't read because it was not important for me .
well my father all the time said me you had to read then I started to read and with the time I noticed the diference .
now I try to find any book that would be interesting for me .

i totally agre with you!.Nowadays is really difficult for us read a lot of pages in a book or in a web page,actually when we copy and paste we dont realize but we read! not all but we read! i do it the majority of the time but when i have an exam of a topic i should read all! :-( ...

well I think reading change your life because you can be a cultivated person and you be able to participate in differents kind of discussion with others ,it has a lot of benefits like improve your vocabulary and knowledge .nevertheless many people don´t like to read because sometimes is bored and they don´t figure out the message , and in this case you have a great idea that is more easy to read something that you like ,because you spend a good time and you increase your level of knowledge.=)

hi miss, I agree with you reading its a very important habit with that I can learn more vocabulary and even I can improve my writingstyle.Sometimes people think that only reading a sumary of a book,they can understand the message by the writer but Its impossible. Hi miss, Well, in my case I enjoy much the reading because I am sure that the books can transmit us experiences and open to us the doors of a world full of possibilities. Right now, I will stop reading one of the Books of Osho " The Supreme Alchemy ", which gave me a new vision of the world of the thoughts. These links are obviously really important for me, they help me to remember things that I learned months ago,and also to learn new things.
It's a good way to improve our English,because of that, I'm thankful that you told us about this page.
Well, I found how to write a book report, the difference between book report and book reviews, many explanations. Moreover on this page I found grammar exercises can be done online. Never before have I done exercises online! But now I did it.

well in my opinion i guess that read is good for us because always we learn new things and feed our minds in which reading ..but nowadays most people prefer watch tv and listen to music and they forget to read due to some reading are boring, another reason would be the stress that they get when they go to the work. well in my case i just read the sport newspapers nothing more, because when i start to read inmediately i fall sleep..it's my reason why i don't like to read however i think readings are a huge help to learn new things...ha! i liked your space because it cheep up most people to read..bye

I think reading is important because through it we can learn a lot about many things, but unfortunately in Peru people aren't use to read. that is because many parents don't instill reading habits to their children.

As Carla pointed out, our writing style is influenced by the one of the authors of what we read. It has happened to me and it is for good since you just apply the shapes of the sentences you have read to reflect your view. Then, writing becomes easy and fun.

Hi miss!! Well I assert that reading is the better way to invert our time for our future!, but I know that create reading habits is really difficult (when I was a child I use to spend my time watching TV and when I began to study in the university, my life changed and my reading habits began to increase). One of the most rewarding things that I have about reading is that when I have to go to a meeting with my friends or some adults I can participate in the conversations. In the other hand when people don’t read they can’t participate in conversations because they feel that they are being excluded (I know that feeling).

It´s very important read because you can develop your vocabulary and to know new words that can use every days, although reading sometimes is boring if I don´t understand some words I can use my dicctionary.It´s a good idea read comics although I didn´t read it, I like read news and biographies of my favorite singers and actors. I think it´s important make a schedule only for reading.

In my opinion, the reading habits allow us to broaden our horizons and acquire differents knowledge that help us to express better our ideas when talking in public and allow us to prepare documents in a better way.

hi miss , i know that people find to read a novel could be boring, but if they don`t like to read novels , they should try to read books that they feel interested. when i was student , i had a teacher who always told us that read magazine or newspapers can hepl us to learn new words too.

Thanks for your interesting advices about the reading. Sometimes reading is boring because people don´t choose the kind of book that they like more. I thing people should read by entertainment and not by obligation.
In my case, I prefer to read comedy books because It´s fun!!!!

REaging is unquestionably very important. It has been claimed by many esxperts that the excercsises are than good for body and health as the reading is for the maind.
In my case, i enjoy so much when I read a book; it could be novel, story, legend, myth and other, it´s very easy to read a spanish book but if the book is in english, spend more time in read it. For example, I´m reading an english book since last month. It´s "The way men act", it´s a novel by Elionor Lipman. I have read nearly half of the book.
I understand that reading an english book is a good exercise in order to improve your skills in english and it´s the reason for I read my book without I discouraged even when it´s more dificult.

Well,In my opinion is really important to read.but why I say that?I study education in the university,I could know that so many students don't like to read.It means that our education is reallly bad.when we read something like magazines,a book or a novel,we are improving our konwledge.
Probably in others countries the people read a lot and they have a good education.we have to do that!and our country will be better!
If you are studying inglish obviously you can improve your vocabulary and grammar when you start to read a inglish book.

Last week a saw a great animation movie called THE SIMPSONS, It was very funny and interesting, I love THE SIMPSONS FAMILY. The movie was amazing, for me is the best movie that I saw in mi short life!!!!
