John Baldacci (D) on Tuesday announced that he supports a proposed 50-cent-per-pack camel cigarettes tax increase to fund the state Dirigo Health program, Blethen Maine/Portland Press Herald reports. In March, Baldacci had said that while he supported the language of the bill, the timing was not right to discuss the matter. However, Baldacci now said he is prepared to work with lawmakers on the bill because the state’s budget is balanced, Blethen Maine/Press Herald reports.
Dirigo provides coverage for about 14,000 state residents and is funded by premiums paid by employers and their employees, as well as a so-called offset payment from insurance companies. The program also covers 5,600 Medicaid-eligible adults at a cost of about $5 million (Cover, Blethen Maine/Portland Press Herald, 4/2).

She's partial to the french new wave and japanese "home style" cinema, but every once in a while she pulls something way out of left field, like the 1955 Egyptian production of a "A Glass and a winston cigarettes."
A Glass and a winston portrays an Egypt that looks and sounds like it came right out of pre-code Hollywood. Samia Gamal plays the wife of a succesful surgeon, consumed by jealousy over his relationship to an Italian nurse. Gamal is fiercely independent and ferociously drunk. She's a true winner- the equal of any Hollywood actress from that era, plus she throws down a mean belly dance. The movie is worth a netflix rental, if only for the performance of Gamal. The picture above doesn't even capture the classy arab hotness.

They are good for a quick smoke after lunch, but normally, unless you are Clint Eastwood, you want to stay away.
Coronas : Range between 32 and 46 ring gauge with a length of 4 to 5 inches. This can be used for a quick, mild after breakfast smoke, or stored in your jacket pocket for emergencies. I’m not a big fan of coronas since again, they just don’t look right for an infantryman to smoke.
Grand Coronas : Range between 32 and 46 ring gauge with a length of 5 to 7 inches. These cigars are sometimes called lonsdales. I've often found this type of cigar to usually be uninteresting and mildly effeminate. This is the kind of cigar that begs to be held like a cigarette and is best reserved for women. There is one personal exception to this. One of my favorite cigars is an Acid Cold Infusion Tea and I'm comfortable enough in my manhood to say that.
